Thomas Pearson Papers, . 1916-1963

Thomas Pearson, of Asheville, N.C., was an economic advisor to several foreign countries, including Persia (later Iran), 1922-1927; the Dominican Republic, 1937-1941; and Haiti, 1941-1947. The collection includes selected items documenting Pearson's career, including letters of commendation, appointments and commissions, photographs, and typed versions of miscellaneous articles, travel essays, and poems by him, relating to his service in Persia, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Included is a letter in Spanish, 23 November 1938, from Rafael L. Trujillo Molina.
